Letter Writing Rituals of Foghorn Station
In the world of Foghorn Station, letter writing is more than communication, it is a sacred ritual, a quiet act of defiance, and an art form refined over generations.
Long ago, after the Great Poisoning, citizens were separated into fenced-in regions, cut off from nature and each other. Travel was forbidden. Spoken words could be overheard. But within the intricate Library Loan System of the networked islands, a hidden language began to bloom.
Through interlibrary loan books, citizens found a way to communicate beyond their borders. Tucked between pages, hidden in margins, folded inside well-worn covers, letters passed unseen, carrying stories, art, and love. Each message had to be precise, poetic, and meaningful, for in this land, paper is rare, and every word must count.
This tradition endures. The citizens still write, hide, and find letters, weaving an underground network of thought and emotion. On Foghorn Station Island, letters are how relationships deepen. They're how stories travel across distances. They're how people say the things that matter most. You're invited to join this ritual.
